Actor Morgan Freeman, was hospitalized in a serious condition after the car he was driving left a rural road in the Mississippi Delta and flipped several times, as mentioned by startribune.com
Freeman, 71, was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. The actor "has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage, but is in good spirits," his publicist said. "He is having a little bit of surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to help correct the damage," she said. "He says he'll be OK and is looking forward to a full recovery."
It has been said that Morgan and Demaris Meyer, were in his car which ran off the road and flipped a number of times before landed upright in a ditch. A State Patrol spokesman said rescuers had to use the Jaws of Life to remove Morgan from the car. He said there was no evidence of alcohol or drug use.
Morgan has won an Oscar for his role in "Million Dollar Baby," and now appears in "The Dark Knight." He is a great actor. So all the best for a quick recovery!
