Lynne Spears speaks out

Lynne Spears, who as l am sure we all know is the mother of Britney and Jamie Lynn, and she finlly shares her feeling for her children. "I think you have to let them follow their dreams," she says in a new interview with PEOPLE. "I think it would be worse in the end if you didn't."

However she feels sorry about not accepting her gut feeling many times. She says she may not have been the best mother in the world (really? lol!), "Was I the perfect mom? No." In her memoir "Through the storm" she explains the ups and down in her family and highlights the mistakes that she has done as a mother. Lynne, 53 says "I wanted the truth out in my own words for myself and my family," The book contains Britney's highly publicized troubles and Jamie Lynn's pregnancy at 16. She adds "It was probably the hardest time in my life."

She is very excited to know the reaction of her kids about the book. Britney and Bryan have not read the book yet however Jamie Lynn and she loved the book. With tears in her eyes Lynne says "Jamie Lynn loved the book. I started to cry because I told her, 'I wanted so much for you to like it.' And she got up and kissed me on the cheek and said, 'Mama, thank you so much.'"

Regarding her grand kids, she says "They are the cutest". Lets she how much money she makes out of this one!
