What happened at the Ocars in 2009?

Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie and now the world knows about it. It has won eight Academy Awards, including those for Best Picture and for its Director, Danny Boyle. While watching the movie l was sure that David would win an Academy Award for it. His portrayal was fantastic, you could feel it all. From one of the first scenes where he dives into the "potty", to the death of his mother, the winning of "Who wants t be a Millionaire" and finally the finding of his first love, the third Musketeer!

Kate Winslet, was named Best Actress for her role as a troubled woman with a Nazi past in The Reader. The best actor went to Sean Penn, for Milk, in which he played 1970s gay activist Harvey Milk. The host of the night was Hugh Jackman and he made the night a blast, by singing, dancing and congratulating the winners. As expected the late Heath Ledger was named Best Supporting Actor for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight. As the audience rose to its feet, Ledger's family accepted his Oscar. Penélope Cruz took the first award, as Supporting Actress in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona. We must not forget The Curious Case of Benjamin Button it won three Oscars, for Art Direction, Makeup and Visual Effects. It was a great night ad here are some pictures of what the stars got up to.
