Ashley Simpson Engaged and Pregnant?

Jessica Simpson is posed to be a bridesmaid yet again, as sister Ashley Simpson announce her engagement to rocker boy toy Pete Wenz. The couple have been dating off and on for some time but this announcement came as a shock to the public. One reason reported by US Magazine is speculation of Ashley being pregnant. A rep for Simpson had no comment on the pregnancy subject but was happy to relay a message from Ashley, regarding the engagement.

"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged."

I wonder if Ashley is secretly grinning within for finally being able to beat Jessica at something.  The sweet smell of victory, followed by the odor of diapers. Congrats!
